We had been standing there for about 2.5 hours when I heard Tiffany say, "It's him". That is all I needed to hear. I got discombobulated INSTANTLY and spun in a circle like 3 times before I threw down my shoes which I was holding in my hand and my dress shawl. I turned around and came face to face with the man of many, many dreams over the past 12 years. He was NOT getting past me. I did not care if I had to trip him, pull my dress down, fall down, yank his hair, I didn't care, he was not getting passed me. (NOW BEAR WITH ME as the rest of the story gets a little blurry and I may not be telling it 100% correctly. LOL)
I looked at him, stuck out my hand and said "Mr. Wahlberg?" He said, "Yes". I said, "My name is Stacy and I flew all the way from MD for this moment" He then said, "Well, why would you want to do something like that for?" Then I said, "Oh, I don't know, this moment has been MANY years in the making" He smiled. I smiled and then I said "May I have a picture with you?" He said "Sure" Then Kim Fey (HIS BEAUTIFUL WIFE) turned to me and said, "I will take it for you." I then shook her hand and said, "Wow, you are even more pretty in real life than you are in your pictures." She said "Awh, Thank you very much" Then she took Donnie's picture and mine together. (I hope she has good AIM!!)
After that, I know he took a picture with Ryan and Ryan shook his hand. Ryan told him he thought he was amazing in Sixth Sense and Donnie said Thank You. We then told him that we worked on Southie and met Shea, Meara and Cummings. I told him that I thought he'd be there in NYC and he said, "Well, I can't be everywhere" as he looked down and fidgeted with his hands. He said he couldn't believe we had flown all this way. He then took a picture with Tiffany. She was shaking so bad that he said to her "Are you going to be ok" hahahaha
He said he couldn't believe that we had come just for him and he was very fidgeting and humble acting. He was just as nice and calm and polite and friendly as I always thought he would be.
We then talked about the Emmys, how great it is that Band of Brothers won and he then asked me how I scored tickets to the Emmys. He apparently does not know that normal people can get them if they want them. I told him that I worked for DMB and that is how I got them. He then said "Ahh, I see, pulling strings and using connections" and I said "Yeah" All this time, Kim was there patiently waiting. I spoke with her for a moment and told her that I couldn't get over how beautiful she was. Then, after a round of good byes, Thank Yous and HUGS, (yes, I hugged Donnie Wahlberg) he told us to have a safe trip home to Maryland. Then E! Entertainment grabbed him for an interview.
I have to end here because nothing I could say from here on out could top that moment right there.
