Episode Synopsis: VANESSA WILLIAMS JOINS THE CAST OF THE CRITICALLY- ACCLAIMED SOPHOMORE DRAMA --When two of their fellow officers are gunned down after responding to a burglary call, Detectives Stevens (Donnie Wahlberg) and Smith (Mykelti Williamson) team up with officers Hechler (Gary Basaraba) and Turcotte (Jason Gedrick) in the search of a pair of dangerous thieves (guest stars Kelly Hu, "X2: X-Men United" and Rebecca De Mornay, "Identity"). However, when their over zealous investigation crosses the path of Detective Katherine Pierce (Vanessa Williams, "Eraser"), they find themselves between a rock and a hard place as they are forced to team up. The season premire (eppy #201, The Love of Money) will show the investigation surrounding the deaths of the two ambushed officers from the "Storm Watch" episode (#115, last season). I believe TNT is airing that eppy on Aug.11 so if you missed it, check it out so you will be on point for the new season. This eppy will also introduce Detective Katherine Pierce (Vanessa Williams-Fox). Her character is a very strong female personality. I'm sure all lady Boomers will be glad to hear / see that. It has plenty of action and intrigue. It also answers some questions from last season, such as: Who ambushed the officers, and why. What is going on with DDA McNorris.
This episode will also star Rebecca DeMornay (who plays "Sabrina") and Kelly Hu (who plays "Rachel") as jewelry thieves.
