Episode Synopsis: Fighting to convict flashy defense lawyer Robert Colson (guest star Gregg Henry, "Payback") for the alleged murder of his girlfriend, DDA McNorris (Neal McDonough) uses his relationship with Andrea (Nina Garbiras) to put the case on the front page, while Detectives Stevens (Donnie Wahlberg) and Smith (Mykelti Williamson) lean on his slightly mentally unstable brother (guest star David Burke) in the hopes of rattling a confession. While the homicide strikes an emotional chord with Stevens, he refuses to violate procedure when veteran officer Hechler (Gary Basaraba) suggest the planting of evidence to help force a break in the case.
